The Surgex Sports Fantasy Five highlights five fantasy sleepers primed for a big fantasy week. Consider starting these players if you have them on your team.

1. Sidney Rice (WR) Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are playing the Minnesota Vikings week nine which greatly benefits the Seahawks passing game. The Vikings defense got torched by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week and Rice is coming off a six catch, one touchdown performance against the Lions. Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson isn’t afraid to air out, so look for a big week from Rice.

2. Greg Olsen (TE) Carolina Panthers

Despite the Panthers terrible season, Cam Newton just keeps throwing the ball. Olsen has underperformed this season, but the Panthers face a Washington Redskins team that has allowed the second most fantasy points to tight ends in the league.

3. Cecil Shorts (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars

Shorts has been a pleasant surprise this season on an otherwise terrible team. Shorts had a monster game last week against the Green Bay Packers. Shorts had eight catches and 116 yards. The Jaguars will likely find themselves trying to come from behind and therefore will be throwing plenty of passes.

4. Daniel Thomas (RB) Miami Dolphins

Thomas has been getting more carries since Reggie Bush’s injury. Bush has been unable to reach his previous production and Thomas is getting the ball. Thomas had 15 carries last week and also was getting the carries at the goal line.

5. San Diego Chargers Defense/Special Teams

The Chargers rank tenth in total defense this season and they are facing a terrible Kansas City Chiefs offense. The Chargers are a safe bet for your fantasy team.
