Monday Night Football Recap: Pittsburgh Steelers 16 – Kansas City Chiefs 13
The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to avoid an upset with an overtime field goal Monday night. However, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger may end up being out of action for some time.
The Steelers improved to 6-3 on the season and won their fourth straight game after a 21-yard field goal by kicker Shaun Suisham with 51 seconds left in overtime. The Kansas City Chiefs fell to 1-8 on the season and have lost six straight games.
Roethlisberger left the game early in the third quarter with a right shoulder injury. Yahoo Sports Jason Cole is reporting Roethlisberger suffered an “unusual” shoulder separation. There is a chance the Steelers quarterback could miss significant time, but more won’t be known until tests are done. Be sure to check back later this afternoon for the Tuesday Fantasy Blitz for the latest on Big Ben.
Roethlisberger ended up with only 84 yards passing, but did throw for one touchdown during his injury shortened game. Neither team had impressive fantasy performances, but the Chiefs Jamaal Charles ran for 100 yards with one touchdown.
