DAVID AMERSON SIGNS WITH THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS!

Surgex Sports Nutrition is proud to announce that our teammate, David Amerson was selected by the Washington Redskins 02_David_Amerson02in the 2013 NFL Draft. David was picked 19th in the 2nd round and he was the 51st pick overall.  The choice seems to be based on size, upside and college production. Amerson was the No. 15-ranked cornerback in this draft according to Scouts Inc., but the Redskins made him the seventh one taken, passing over the likes of Blidi Wreh-WilsonRobert AlfordB.W. Webb and of course Tyrann Mathieu. But at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, he’s bigger than all of those players. They had to like the 18 interceptions he made in his last two college seasons as proof that he knows how to make a play.

Dan Graziano of ESPN.com summed up the choice for the Redskins best; “… they have a guy who can potentially make a game-changing impact at any time.”

KEENAN ALLEN DRAFTED BY THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS!

Keenan Allen

Surgex Sports Nutrition is very pleased to announce that another one of our elite athletes, Keenan Allen was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 2013 NFL Draft. Keenan Allen was picked in the 3rd Round by the Chargers and went 76th overall in the draft. Bill Williamson of ESPN.com puts it nicely, “San Diego splashed like the Pacific Ocean on Friday night. After the Chargers traded up to take Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o in the second round, they then drafted dynamic Cal receiver Keenan Allen in the third.” Allen is a major gift to San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers. The Chargers badly need skill-position weapons and now with Allen they have one.

Williamson went on, “I truly expect Allen to make an impact as a rookie. I think this pick will be remembered as the start of something nice for San Diego General Manager, Telesco’s tenure.

CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME TO THE SURGEX TEAM!
