It was another eventful week for Surgex Sports athletes. Keep reading to find out how they performed week ten of the NFL season.
The San Diego Chargers suffered a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to fall to 4-5 on the season. Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman was able to throw for over 200 yards, while throwing for two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Weddle had another solid game with five solo tackles. Week eleven the Chargers have a huge divisional game against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Weddle will need to be on top of his game as the Chargers defense faces off against a rejuvenated Peyton Manning.
Dwight “Bill” Bentley
Bill Bentley was placed on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. Bentley’s will need surgery to repair his injured shoulder, ending his rookie season. Bentley should be ready to go in time for training camp.
Jenkins was a healthy scratch week ten. It is rumored that Jenkins missed practice on Tuesday, which is why he and fellow rookie Chris Givens were both healthy scratches. Expect Jenkins to suit up week eleven against the struggling New York Jets.
The Chicago Bears lost a defensive battle 13-6 to the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football. Costanzo was again solid on special teams for the Bears who boast one of the best special teams units in football.
