DeSean Jackson: ‘It’s All About Winning’
Jackson on Wednesday made it official and signed his contract with the Redskins, who are more than thrilled to acquire a player coming off a career year in which he set personal highs in receptions and receiving yards, while also matching his career high in receiving touchdowns.
“I think it was an open-arms situation,” Jackson said Wednesday in a conference call with members of the local media shortly after signing with the team. “I think this place right here is a great place and has some great things going on, and I’m just happy to be an addition to help this team win.”
Jackson, 27, was released by the Eagles on Friday, setting the stage for Redskins general manager Bruce Allen and first-year head coach Jay Gruden to quickly make their pitch to the three-time Pro Bowler.
